I'll be exhibiting at this years RHS Flower Show at Tatton Park 22–26 July with my Year of Light competition winning garden The Quantum of Light .

The garden is a visual rendering of an image created by the Large Hadron Collider: the energy from an atom following a particle collision, which then emits a quantum of light. A colour palette of red, blue and yellow flowering plants will create an 'energy flash'.

Intense violet blues of Salvia × sylvestris 'Mainacht', deep reds from Achillea millefolium 'Red Velvet' and strong, yellow Rudbeckia fulgida 'Early Bird Gold 'Goldstar' will be planted in dynamic shapes.

"Flowers and fibre-optics: Celebrating the International Year of Light

The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) was founded in 1804 by Sir Joseph Banks and John Wedgwood for the encouragement and improvement of the science, art and practice of horticulture. Their first flower shows were held in 1820, and they were granted a Royal Charter in 1861 and acquired RHS Garden Wisley, the first of their gardens, in 1903. From their first meetings in a small room off London’s Piccadilly, they have grown to become the world’s largest gardening charity."
